Join Costain Group PLC as a MEICA Delivery Manager to lead the design, construction and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control (MEICA) systems for the Otterbourne Water Supply Works Upgrade Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage allocated MEICA engineers, ensuring safe and compliant work aligned with company procedures, specifications, and programme targets.
- Oversee all MEICA activities from design through to scheme completion.
- Report MEICA progress to Project Managers, C&DLs and Program Managers.
- Assist in the selection and allocation of MEICA resources.
- Provide technical and quality support to M&E site managers.
- Manage M&E subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety, programme, quality and design requirements.
- Coordinate the integration of civil, mechanical, electrical and control systems for seamless delivery.
- Liaise with stakeholders—including design teams, contractors, suppliers and the client—to manage project life‑cycle communication.
- Develop commissioning strategies, validate design intent, and resolve inconsistencies to achieve successful system handover.
- Champion quality assurance practices across design and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, industry, environmental and safety standards.
- Support MEICA induction, risk monitoring, and documentation control throughout the project.
Qualifications
- Background in mechanical, electrical or instrumentation & control engineering.
- Experience in water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Relevant degree, HND or equivalent qualification.
