CMDP+ is looking for a Senior Agent to join our Southern Water Framework. MWH Treatment and Costain Group are part of the CMDP+ joint venture that will deliver a range of construction schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works within the South and Southeast regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scheme Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan (HASEMP)
  • Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
  • Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate and ensure only adequately trained and experienced operatives are engaged on site to deliver the scheme
  • Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
  • Deliver site inductions and regular toolbox talk briefings to all site personnel
  • Ensure all plant and equipment used is fit for purpose, only operated by suitably trained personnel and regularly inspected
  • Ensure all “as constructed” records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner following scheme completion
  • Develop and update 1,4- & 12-week collaborative planning plans, with the project team
  • Manage temporary works onsite
  • Ensure behavioural safety programmes are developed and followed
  • Manage Frontline Supervisor team, comprising of works manager, Foreman, gangers and junior FLS’s

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Extensive UK construction experience
  • Strong safety focus
  • Visible leadership skills, able to clearly communicate, present and drive a team
  • Strong commercial, risk and contractual experience
  • Understanding of risk, mitigations and developing agile delivery plans
  • Able to forecast demand and resource projects

Desirable Skills

  • Membership of a professional institution at an appropriate level (Incorporated, tech, chartered)

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS minimum
  • CSCS card aligned to role
  • Recognised engineering / site management qualifications
  • IOSH or similar safety certification

Desirable Qualifications

  • Discipline skills, such as AP, TWC or similar
  • NEBOSH
