The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The Site Agent will lead the delivery of projects allocated to Costain and ranging in value from £1m – £10m in this first wave. This allocation covers both STW upgrades and Storm Overflow works. You will work across the project lifecycle from concept, ECI, delivery and through handover and will be leading our design and delivery team in engagement with site operational teams and supply chain partners (on one or multiple sites). You will be developing our construction strategies and programmes and ensuring we are setting up and delivering safely, to quality, time and budget.
Responsibilities
- Line management and development of site teams
- Ensure production and implementation of project plans, RAMs, ITPs and waste management
- Be responsible for robust and comprehensive site records (diaries, allocation sheets etc)
- Ensure supply chain remain compliant with the framework management plan
- Create a safety culture to strive towards Zero LTI and RIDDOR Incidents
- Maintain a commercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and choosing efficient delivery strategies
- Work closely with all project teams to ensure sites have suitably competent and skilled resources required to complete tasks
- Ensure delivery teams are engaged at operational level and supportive of the projects and services and their potential impacts
- Ensure consistent and reliable reporting of project SHE metrics, progress, cost, change etc
- Ensure key project risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
- Project level experience for contracts over £1m
- Previous experience of working on multidisciplinary projects
- Experience working with MEICA interfaces and/or in a water environment would be beneficial
- A team player who can develop working relationships and demonstrate collaborative behaviours
- Experience of managing and delivering projects (or packages of work within small-medium-large projects) safely to quality, time and budget
- Practical experience and familiarity of delivery to NEC forms of contract
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, within your team and across the operational sites, client team, our Framework team (including design and supply chain partners) & Costain group
- Computer competence (standard Microsoft tools, document control system, Primavera software)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
Costain have won extensive work across the water sector this year to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. We have been appointed by Northumbrian Water to the Living Water Enterprise to help shape and deliver its strategic infrastructure upgrade programme with contracts valued up to c.£670m to Costain over the next 15 years.
