Costain are working with Thames Water on a variety of water and wastewater projects and have fantastic opportunities for individuals to join our growing AMP8 delivery team, working predominantly across the Thames Valley and Thames South regions. There is a mix of projects ranging from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes.
Responsibilities
- Manage Key Alliance partners and subcontractors
- Ensure your team understands the project objectives and client needs
- Manage direct reports and site team, reviewing their performance, duties and support their development
- Ensure that all engineering, measurement, sub-contract works are undertaken in accordance with the conditions and requirements of the contract
- Work closely with Design Manager to ensure buildability and timely delivery of design outputs
- Manage, review and drive resourced Construction Programme
- Promote continuous improvement and share good practice within the project
- Attend / arrange weekly co-ordination, progress and programme / resource meetings as required
- Set the highest example for Health and Safety Requirements; monitor and drive SHE performance on site
- Manage risks and opportunities by regular input into project risk register, ensuring mitigation and action plans are being worked to, updated, and communicated
Qualifications
- Significant Civil / MEICA construction experience
- Project Management and Design experience
- Good understanding of Engineering Principles and experience of solving technical problems
- Relevant Engineering Degree or similar HNC/HND
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Training in Health, Safety & Environmental management
- Previous Water Industry experience
