The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water's region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
This role will be required to occasionally attend the Peterborough office, although not regularly. Working from our other main offices and home is acceptable.
Responsibilities- The SPA GIS system is essential to supporting all phases of the projects, from consenting through construction to asset handover.
- Contribute to managing SPA's enterprise GIS database, GIS task delivery (e.g. map production, survey support, analysis and automation).
- Production of high-quality GIS outputs (maps and analysis).
- Apply SPA GIS Standards, data management processes and procedures.
- Support the SPA Senior GIS Specialist and project teams to collect, collate, manage, analyse and share spatial data.
- Identify opportunities for automations and streamlining of GIS processes which will benefit the operation of the SPA GIS team and wider project team.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained.
- Ensure completion of a full Induction to H&S in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards &/or guidance.
- Ensure adherence to safe working practices including completing audits in line with schedule.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with the Working Time Directive.
- Ensure compliance with the use of mandatory safety monitoring equipment, near miss reporting and compliance with the company procedures.
- Maintain H&S standards to enable a zero-accident culture.
- Actively work with your team, line manager and the H&S Team to improve upon H&S procedures where possible.
- Report all near misses through the appropriate channel to prevent future accidents.
- Previous professional GIS experience.
- Delivery or ambition to deliver GIS solutions to large-scale infrastructure programmes of work.
- Understanding of GIS support required for project deliverables such as EIA submissions, detailed design support, site team and construction management plans.
- Knowledge of GIS standards and information management principles and processes, with some applications.
- Advanced competency using GIS desktop software and databases ArcGIS Pro v3.2 and above.
- Mobile data collection: ESRI Field Maps and Survey123.
