Costain are working with Thames Water on a variety of water and wastewater projects and have opportunities to join our AMP8 delivery team, mainly across the Thames Valley and Thames South regions. The projects range from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes.
Responsibilities
- Line management and development of site teams
- Ensure production and implementation of project plans, RAMs, ITPs and waste management
- Maintain robust and comprehensive site records (diaries, allocation sheets, etc.)
- Ensure supply chain remains compliant with the framework management plan
- Create a safety culture to strive toward zero LTI and RIDDOR incidents
- Maintain a commercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and delivery strategies
- Work closely with all project teams to ensure sites have suitably competent and skilled resources
- Engage delivery teams at an operational level and support the projects and services and their potential impacts
- Ensure consistent and reliable reporting of project SHE metrics, progress, cost, change, etc.
- Identify and mitigate key project risks early where possible
Qualifications
- Experience of working on multidisciplinary projects
- Experience with MEICA interfaces and/or in a water environment is beneficial
- Team player with good collaborative behaviours
- Experience delivering projects (or packages within larger projects) safely to quality, time and budget
- Familiarity with NEC forms of contract
- Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders within your team and across operational sites
- Computer competence (Microsoft tools, document control system, Primavera, etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant civil engineering discipline
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
