HRS03 HV Power (traction and non-traction) Rail Systems Contract is being delivered by the Siemens Mobility Costain Joint Venture (SMCjv) on behalf of High Speed 2 (the Employer). This role is integral to enabling successful digital delivery across SMCjv. In summary, HRS03’s scope of works is to provide 25kV traction and 33kV/11kV non-traction HV power for HS2’s rail system phases 1 and 3 between London Euston and Birmingham. The works will include various disciplines such as HV power, SCADA, civils, protection & control, EMC, E&B and LV power. Reporting to the Digital Engineering Lead, this full‑time role will be responsible for the technical configuration of the Bentley ProjectWise for SMCjv in accordance with the works information and instructed change. The role is hybrid office and home based with an expectation to meet with the project team in our London and Birmingham offices. The team’s core office days are Tuesdays to Thursdays. The role is both internal and external client‑facing with the expectation that the selected candidate will form a strong relationship with the client’s CDE team.
Responsibilities
- ProjectWise Configuration & Administration – Establish and maintain folder structures, workflows, permissions, metadata rules, and automation scripts. Manage data interfaces with Employer CDE systems and coordinate information exchanges. Monitor performance, liaise with IT, and ensure continuous availability and data integrity.
- CAD Workspace Management – Configure and maintain managed workspaces for Bentley and Autodesk authoring platforms; manage templates, seed files, and libraries.
- Deliverables Manager & iTwin Readiness – Implement Bentley Deliverables Manager for transmittals and submittals; prepare for potential iTwin deployment.
- Validation & Quality Assurance – Configure iDAT and other validation processes to check metadata, file naming, and deliverables before submission. Produce onboarding materials and user guides and conduct training sessions and workshops. Liaise with Bentley Systems and other vendors on issues and upgrades.
- Compliance & Audit – Ensure all configurations and workflows comply with HS2 and ISO 19650 standards; maintain audit records for assurance.
- Reporting – Provide system usage and validation reports to the Digital Engineering Lead; track metrics such as system uptime and data accuracy.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proven experience configuring and administering Bentley ProjectWise for large infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 processes and data workflows.
- Experience managing ProjectWise for both graphical and non‑graphical documents.
- Ability to configure Bentley Managed Workspaces for MicroStation, OpenBuildings, and related CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of metadata, naming conventions, and automation.
- Experience creating clear user guidance and delivering end‑user training (PowerPoint, workshops).
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience on HS2 or other major UK infrastructure programs.
- Knowledge of Autodesk integration within ProjectWise.
- Familiarity with Bentley Deliverables Manager and iTwin.
- Experience with PowerShell or similar for automation.
- Understanding of CDE integration with systems such as AIMS, eB/ALIM, and ArcGIS.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Management, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Bentley ProjectWise Administration training or certification.
- ISO 19650 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
