What you’ll do
Being a Technical Manager – EMENA Franchise means balancing strategy with hands on impact.
You will
- Lead technical assessments, reviews, and audits with franchise partners, using QMS performance data, technical reporting, and trend analysis to drive corrective actions, resolve escalations, strengthen governance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage technical, food safety, and quality escalations, leading investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to protect consumers and maintain Costa brand standards.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across , Operations, Food & Beverage, Brand Excellence, and Retail Operations teams to embed technical standards and support operational excellence.
- Support technical commercialisation activities, ensuring products and suppliers consistently meet agreed quality and specification standards.
- Deliver technical training and coaching to partners, ensuring compliance with Costa’s QMS, policies, and legal requirements.
- Provide regional technical insight, contributing to governance, sustainability initiatives, technical concessions, and support the ongoing development of global technical strategy across EMENA
Who you are
It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in
- Degree or HND in Food Science, Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, allergen management, HACCP, and food legislation.
- Experience managing supplier quality, product quality, and technical commercialisation processes.
- Qualified ISO Lead Auditor with knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, or IFS.
- Skilled in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean principles and problem-solving tools.
- Experience working across international markets, with the flexibility to travel and build relationships with global suppliers and partners.
