We’re looking for an experienced data professional to help shape and evolve our enterprise data platform within Costa Technology. This role combines product ownership, architecture thinking, and hands‑on data expertise to drive scalable, reusable, and high‑quality data capabilities across the business. Working closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams, you’ll play an important role in improving how data is used to support better decisions and future technology solutions. What you’ll do
- Owning the platform strategy and roadmap - Lead the evolution of our Azure Databricks‑based platform into a scalable, secure, and future‑ready capability.
- Defining standards and reusable patterns - Establish best practices across ingestion, modelling, governance, and platform engineering. Drive consistency, reuse, and reduced duplication across teams.
- Driving adoption and experience - Enable teams to easily build, access, and reuse trusted data products. Improve onboarding, documentation, and platform usability.
- Partnering across technology and business - Work closely with architecture, engineering, security, and product teams. Ensure alignment to enterprise strategy and business priorities.
- Improving reliability, quality, and cost efficiency - Lead initiatives in observability, governance, and performance optimisation. Ensure the platform is resilient, trusted, and cost‑effective.
Who you are
- Proven experience leading or owning enterprise data platforms (e.g., Data Platform Lead, Senior Data Architect, or similar).
- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and modern data architectures.
- Experience defining and embedding platform standards, governance, and reusable patterns.
- Comfortable operating in agile, product‑led environments, working across multiple teams.
- Highly credible technically – able to challenge designs, guide engineers, and simplify complexity.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
