As Production & Engineer Manager you will ensure seamless production at Costa Roastery through a well structured, end to end process that meets business volume demands. Maintain production targets while driving efficiency, reducing costs per kilo, and minimizing waste.

What you’ll do
This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with third-party suppliers and in-house engineers to plan and coordinate all preventative and reactive maintenance activities for optimal performance. You will,
- Plan and coordinate all activities to meet customer deadlines, key priorities, and quality standards while proactively liaising with other departments.
- Maintain SLAs with suppliers, ensuring minimal production disruption, while overseeing maintenance schedules, equipment monitoring, and spare part availability.
- Ensure the roastery meets UK regulations, global manufacturing standards, and company H&S policies, working closely with the Compliance Manager.
- Manage a diverse team effectively, driving performance through coaching, mentoring, and regular meetings while leading change across cultures.
- Implement robust Root Cause Analysis, sustain systems and processes, and drive engineering and maintenance efficiency for long term operational success.
Who you are
It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in. You will have:
- Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes, engineering design, mechanical/electrical systems, and problem-solving techniques.
- Project Management and proven ability to lead project teams, manage the shop floor, and drive project activities to ensure successful outcomes.
- Skilled in applying Lean manufacturing principles (5S, KanBan, OEE) and other CI methodologies to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Expertise in end-to-end planning, ensuring smooth operations, and a strong communicator who fosters alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Combining business and management experience with effective third-party supplier management to drive seamless operations and project success.
