We also want to help you grow your career through amazing experiences, our apprenticeship scheme, and development programmes. At Costa, you can go beyond day-to-day.

What you’ll do

Being a Data Analyst (People Insights) is about creating trusted, scalable analytics that help Costa make better people decisions. You’ll be:

  • Owning complex Power BI reporting and analytics solutions end to end, from ambiguous business questions through to adopted outcomes.
  • Designing and governing reusable semantic models, advanced DAX and Power Query solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Translating workforce data into clear narratives, recommendations and executive-level reporting that explain the “so what”.
  • Delivering accurate, compliant and audit-ready outputs, including Gender Pay Gap reporting, pensions audits, headcount reporting and regulatory submissions.
  • Developing advanced insights, including predictive and machine learning models (such as attrition risk, absence and workforce forecasting), that move beyond describing what happened to recommending targeted actions.
  • Driving automation, performance, data quality and standardisation while coaching analysts and contributing to the Analytics Centre of Excellence.

Who you are

It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in:

  • An experienced analyst with advanced Power BI, SQL, DAX and Power Query capability, together with strong relational and dimensional modelling knowledge.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and turning complex or ambiguous questions into high-value analytical outcomes.
  • Experienced in owning complex analytics or reporting initiatives end to end within an enterprise Data & Analytics environment.
  • A structured problem-solver who can combine multiple data sources, identify trade-offs and present evidence-based recommendations.
  • Curious about advanced analytics, with experience or a strong interest in applying statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g. Python, R or Databricks) to turn insight into practical, ethical and explainable actions.

Where you’ll work

Right now, our Support Centre teams work flexibly, blending home working with in-person time whenever it matters most – whether that’s a team moment, a creative session, or simply coming together to share ideas.

We’re excited to be moving into a new home for our brand in St Albans in January 2027 – an inspiring space from which our Support Centre teams will work three days a week to connect and collaborate in-person to bring our bold ambition to life.
