Shape the global voice of Costa Coffee as our Corporate Communications Senior Manager, leading and delivering the strategy that defines how we engage the world. You’ll own our external narrative, protect our reputation, and drive impactful campaigns and crisis communications, blending senior strategic counsel with a hands-on, roll-your-sleeves approach. A pivotal role shaping brand equity, stakeholder confidence, and growth across the UK, Ireland, and international markets.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and deliver a proactive global corporate communications strategy aligned to Costa Coffee’s long-term priorities, building a strong, consistent external narrative that enhances reputation across key audiences.
  • Develop and execute impactful, multi-channel campaigns in close partnership with PR, Public Affairs, Sustainability and Community teams, ensuring joined-up storytelling and maximum reach.
  • Shape and drive media engagement and thought leadership programmes, elevating senior leaders’ profiles and increasing positive coverage, sentiment, and visibility.
  • Own reputational risk and crisis communications across UK&I and international markets, ensuring a confident, consistent response that protects the brand.
  • Embed best-in-class communications practices across the business, tracking performance and driving a measurable uplift in brand awareness, stakeholder confidence, and corporate reputation.

Who you are

  • Proven experience in corporate communications, preferably in-house within a Retail Consumer or QSR environment.
  • Deep understanding of the global media landscape and the forces shaping corporate reputation, including sustainability, regulatory and public affairs dynamics.
  • Strategic thinker with sound judgement, able to simplify complexity, analyse risk, and build clear, credible messaging that resonates externally.
  • Exceptional storyteller with sharp editorial instincts, able to translate complex internal information into compelling narratives, and experienced in managing and collaborating with external agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Influential and collaborative operator, skilled at stakeholder management and comfortable advising senior leaders while navigating a complex, global matrix environment.

Right now, our Support Centre teams work flexibly, blending home working with in-person time whenever it matters most – whether that’s a team moment, a creative session, or simply coming together to share ideas.

We’re excited to be moving into a new home for our brand in St Albans in January 2027 – an inspiring space from which our Support Centre teams will work three days a week to connect and collaborate in-person to bring our bold ambition to life.
