We are looking for an experienced Fire Safety Supervisor to oversee our team of Passive Fire Stoppers and Fire Door Maintenance Engineers across social housing and commercial projects in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising works on-site, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards, and carrying out pre-surveys / surveys to new works to scope requirements and plan installations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate teams of fire stoppers and fire door maintenance engineers
- Conduct pre-surveys / surveys to new works, identifying scope, recording details, and preparing for project delivery
- Carry out quality assurance inspections and produce detailed reports
- Support project managers in planning, resourcing, and monitoring progress
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Liaise with clients, site managers, and subcontractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Provide technical support and mentoring to operatives where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Supervisor in fire safety / passive fire protection
- Strong knowledge of fire stopping systems and fire door regulations
- Experience carrying out pre-surveys / new works surveys and preparing reports
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent)
- SSSTS / SMSTS and valid CSCS card
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (as role will involve travel across sites in London)
Desirable
- FIRAS, BM Trada, or ASFP accreditation
- Experience in social housing projects
