About the Role
As our Financial Controller, you'll be the heartbeat of our financial strategy – ensuring robust financial health, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making at the highest level. You’ll manage all aspects of financial planning, reporting, and analysis, while leading and mentoring a high-performing finance team. Your experience in HVAC, construction, or service industries will help you hit the ground running in this pivotal leadership role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, payroll, and tax compliance
- Prepare accurate consolidated, company, and divisional financial reports and forecasts
- Manage job costing processes and analyse performance variances
- Develop and enforce robust financial policies and internal controls
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Deliver actionable financial insights to drive business efficiency and cost savings
- Partner with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
- Background in HVAC, construction, or service-based industries
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
