Join Cosmo as a Remote ESL teacher to work with students in Singapore and Hong Kong. As a tutor, you will create a welcoming and fun learning environment and help students grow through consistent, 50‑minute, one‑on‑one lessons. You should be a reliable role model, arriving prepared, on time, and ready to support your students with a passionate and kind demeanor. The pay rate for this position is $20 USD per class, plus additional incentives.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
- Submit class feedback after each lesson
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
- Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
- Communicate with Cosmo staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA
- Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification preferred but not required
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
- Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available between 8 – 2 PM GMT Monday‑Friday or 5 AM – 2 PM GMT weekends
- Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week
- Access to a private and quiet location
- Currently located in the UK
- Passion for helping students learn and strong rapport‑building skills
