The role involves teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum. The position offers a flexible schedule set by the tutor and pays $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
- Submit class feedback after each lesson
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
- Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
- Communicate with Cosmo staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA
- Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum
- Experience teaching ESL learners
- Teaching qualification preferred but not required
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
- Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
- Available between 8‑2 PM GMT Monday‑Friday or 5 AM‑2 PM GMT weekends
- Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis
- Access to a private and quiet location
