Teach online to ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons. You will build a welcoming and fun learning environment and help students grow. Reliable role models are expected. The pay rate for this position is $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students.
- Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
- Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
- Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
- Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
- Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
- Communicate with Cosmo staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA.
- Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum.
- Experience teaching ESL learners.
- Teaching qualification preferred but not required.
- Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
- Available between 8‑2 PM GMT Monday through Friday or 5 AM‑2 PM GMT on the weekends.
- Minimum of 20 hours of availability weekly.
- Access to a private and quiet location.
