We are working exclusively with our client to find a remote Pre-Sales Consultant. Our client is a leading data and insights platform serving the higher education and purpose-built student accommodation sectors. The business has built one of the most comprehensive real-time datasets in its market, delivering actionable insights on pricing, availability, development activity, customer sentiment and wider market trends. Following significant year-on-year growth and recent investment, they are continuing to scale both their product offering and commercial operations across multiple European markets.
As part of this expansion, they are looking for their first dedicated Pre-Sales Consultant to support new business opportunities, customer evaluations and product demonstrations across their data platform. Recently secured significant investment to accelerate product innovation, commercial growth and international expansion. Proprietary data platform combining multiple market and customer intelligence sources to provide a unique view of a large and complex sector. Several new product launches planned over the coming months, driven by customer feedback and designed to support the next phase of growth.
Opportunity to join as the company's first dedicated Pre-Sales Consultant, helping to define and build the pre-sales function from the ground up. Working with senior stakeholders across a range of customer organisations while supporting expansion into new geographic markets. Playing a key role in the most commercially important stages of the sales cycle, helping customers understand how data and technology can support strategic decision-making. Collaborating closely with Sales, Customer Success and Product teams to ensure customer needs are translated into successful business outcomes.

Partnering closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, joining customer meetings to support discovery, solution design, product demonstrations and trial management.
Conducting detailed discovery sessions to understand customer objectives, challenges, decision criteria and data requirements before recommending the most appropriate solution. Designing and delivering tailored product demonstrations for different customer personas, including investors, lenders, developers, operators, advisors and data analysts. Creating repeatable demo environments, use cases and playbooks that can be adapted to different customer segments, helping to improve consistency and effectiveness across the sales process.
Acting as the subject matter expert on the platform's data, methodology and insights, confidently explaining where data originates from and how customers can use it to support commercial decision-making. Supporting customers through evaluation and trial periods, ensuring they understand the full value of the platform and helping to address questions, objections and knowledge gaps. Working closely with Customer Success to ensure a seamless transition from trial to onboarding and long-term customer adoption.
Collaborating with Product, Sales and Customer Success teams to provide feedback from the market and help influence future product development. Supporting qualification and solution design activities, helping Account Executives determine whether opportunities are a strong fit for the platform. Building relationships with both business stakeholders and end users, translating complex datasets into clear commercial outcomes and actionable insights. Helping establish the foundations of the pre-sales function by creating processes, documentation and best practices that can scale as the business grows.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consultant, Customer Success, Data Consultant or other customer-facing role within a SaaS or data business.
- Comfortable discussing data, insights and commercial outcomes, helping customers understand how information can be used to support decision-making.
- Experience supporting software evaluations, proof of concepts, trials or onboarding processes would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to connect platform capabilities to customer objectives and business value.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.
