Our client is a market-leading solution that combines SaaS and logistics services for the FMCG and food sectors with complex supply chains. Its goal is to help clients increase revenues, reduce costs, and operate more environmentally friendly.
They are collaborating with FMCG brands to digitalise their supply chains. This entails a marketplace-style platform to connect buyers and sellers, improved visibility and demand forecasting, and enhanced stock level management.
Following enormous growth in EMEA and support from US investors, it is now time to go growth presence in the UK with a Founding Account Executive.
Key Highlights:
- Credible founder and a wider team consisting of academics, industrial engineers, and software engineers who are all subject matter experts in supply chain management.
- Founded in 2021, the company already works with 3,000 buyers and 100 suppliers.
- Most clients are in the SME sector, while they also collaborate with distributors that supply notable brands such as Arla, Huel, Coca-Cola, Itsu, McVities, and Haribo.
- Currently operating at 6 figure MRR in Turkey and £3,000 MRR in the UK, this is a Founding Account Executive role in the UK where you will help build on current success and shape the commercial function.
- There are 25 employees worldwide, along with an additional 25 contractors, including six individuals in the UK branch.
- A recent raise of $3 million is looking to expand into continental Europe.
- A regular flow of inbound leads and proven methods to generate leads in the UK are in place. For example, they attended a UK food fair and generated 130 leads.
- They have a proven ROI by assisting their clients in streamlining logistics, forecasting demand, and reducing carbon emissions.
- Once a supplier is secured, a domino effect occurs, allowing you to establish relationships with their buyers and other suppliers—a proven and effective strategy in other regions.
- £70k – £80k base x 2 OTE, hybrid working and other benefits to be discussed.
The Role:
- Closing 5-figure deals with new SME and Mid-market customers in the UK. Your focus will be on FMCG suppliers and buyers in the UK.
- Prospecting activities to build the pipeline via outbound including market research, mapping, phone calls, LinkedIn and emails.
- Running the full sales process from discovery to demo to close using a known sales framework like MEDDPICC. This will include in-person and on-site meetings to build a relationship with your future clients.
- Project managing your team and bringing in internal resources as part of the deal process. This includes setting them up for success by preparing the correct documentation.
- Consistently hitting and achieving targets set by the company.
- Close working with the broader team to contribute insights that will continue building on the success of the GTM function.
- Keeping records in the CRM up to date and accurate – reporting is essential to the client so they can get the insight required to develop the sales function further. This will also help with accurate forecasting and understanding of where new resources should be deployed.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience selling complex solutions to senior stakeholders with a 5-6 figure ACV ARR. Looking for value-based salespeople!
- Experience selling supply chain solutions or have knowledge of the space either through education or work experience.
- Worked in a role where you have been responsible for your outbound prospecting. This includes account mapping territories and high-activity outreach.
- Self-starter and proven track record in an early-stage start-up. You must lead deals from the front and bring in the relevant internal teams where necessary. They are looking for someone entrepreneurial.
- Confidence in your ability – they are looking for people that are focused and structured.
- Good written and verbal communication is essential, you will be liaising with top executives.
- Are professionally trained in known sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
- Excited by a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
