From Β£30,000 per year

Starting salary from Β£30,000 per year.

Orpington, Greater London. Full time.

Starting a new qualification can be exciting and daunting. We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused coordinator who makes students feel welcome, knows when to check in and follows through on the details.

Based at our Orpington college, you'll be a friendly, engaging point of contact throughout the student journey. You'll work closely with tutors and colleagues to answer questions, coordinate next steps and help students stay on track.

Proactive. Customer focused. Engaging.

What you'll do

  • Welcome students and guide them through practical next steps, course information and the college's learning and support systems.
  • Proactively contact students to check progress, spot concerns early and help resolve issues before they become barriers to learning.
  • Respond to enquiries by phone, email and in person with clear, accurate information and a warm, professional manner.
  • Coordinate with tutors and colleagues on training dates, assessment requirements, outstanding actions and student queries.
  • Keep student records, communications and follow-up tasks accurate and up to date.
  • Take ownership of questions and concerns, escalating when appropriate and keeping students informed until an issue is resolved.
  • Gather feedback and suggest practical improvements to communication and the student experience.

What you'll bring

  • A proactive approach: you notice what needs doing, take ownership and follow through without waiting to be prompted.
  • A customer-focused mindset with an engaging, approachable manner and the ability to build rapport with different people.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, including confidence on the phone and care with email correspondence.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise several enquiries and follow-up tasks.
  • Confidence using digital systems, maintaining accurate records and learning new tools.
  • A calm, practical approach to problem solving and the ability to work on site at our Orpington college.

Useful experience

  • Experience in customer service, student support, administration, hospitality or another role focused on helping people.
  • An interest in beauty, aesthetics or vocational education. Direct industry experience is welcome, but is not essential.
