Cosine is the UK's frontier AI lab for autonomous software engineering. We are not another coding assistant, but build our own models, agent stack, eval harnesses, and product layer. We build our agent tooling entirely in-house and post-train open-source models to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade coding performance in security-critical settings.
Our offerings can be used as SaaS, deployed on VPC, on-prem or fully air-gapped. Through this flexibility, we are able to serve large-scale, highly regulated enterprises and industries including defence, financial services, government, and healthcare. We’re backed by YC and were recently selected for the UK’s sovereign AI programme. The company is at a rare stage: deep technical work, real enterprise pull, and a chance to shape how AI is deployed inside defence, banking, government, and other high-trust environments. This role is based in our Hoxton office, five days a week, because close collaboration, fast feedback, and shared context matter for the problems we’re solving.
A Strategy & Operations hire at Cosine will work across our commercial, product, finance, and leadership teams to help turn a fast-moving set of enterprise opportunities into repeatable operating systems. This is a deliberately wide-ranging role. You might spend one day helping coordinate Cosine’s sovereign LLM coalition work with major enterprises, the next supporting a regulated customer through procurement and onboarding, and the next building the internal reporting pack that shows leadership where the business is actually moving.
The role is not a classic strategy job and it is not a pure operations job. It sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, analytics, commercial operations, and special projects. We are looking for someone who can make excellent decks, write clearly, speak confidently with senior stakeholders, get on top of messy data and information flows, and turn ambiguity into useful operating cadence.
Your Mission: Help Cosine scale from founder-led momentum into a repeatable operating machine across sovereign AI partnerships, enterprise procurement, customer onboarding, internal reporting, compliance, and new market exploration.
Responsibilities:
- Support Cosine’s sovereign LLM MoU and coalition work, helping engage strategic enterprises, government-adjacent partners, and regulated institutions around requirements, use cases, partner benefits, and ongoing collaboration.
- Help coordinate partner engagement around the sovereign LLM initiative, including stakeholder maps, points of contact, survey forms, roundtables, follow-up cadence, update materials, and decision trackers.
- Prepare high-quality materials for enterprise and partner conversations, including briefing notes, decks, proposals, follow-up documents, internal decision papers, and customer-ready narratives.
- Support procurement, onboarding, and commercial operations for enterprise customers, helping coordinate vendor forms, security reviews, legal inputs, commercial terms, implementation steps, and internal handoffs.
- Help with tenders, RFPs, and enterprise proposals where the work requires structured thinking, strong writing, and confident synthesis across commercial, technical, legal, and operational inputs.
- Build and maintain internal metrics reporting across revenue, pipeline, enterprise onboarding, product usage, customer health, capital planning, partner engagement, and operational performance.
- Bring more financial and operational reporting in-house, improving how leadership sees the business and makes decisions from data.
- Support compliance and operational processes where structure, follow-through, and cross-functional coordination are needed.
- Turn messy processes into simple systems: trackers, dashboards, cadences, templates, reporting packs, decision logs, and follow-up loops.
- Explore adjacent products, verticals, and commercial opportunities for Cosine, particularly in regulated sectors where sovereign deployment, secure AI, and agentic workflow automation matter.
- Work closely with product, engineering, research, GTM, and leadership to translate customer requirements into clear internal priorities and feedback loops.
- Represent Cosine credibly in external settings where needed, including customer meetings, partner discussions, events, and follow-up conversations.
Skills & Experience:
- Strategy & Problem Solving: Strong structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, decisions, and next steps. Experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, commercial operations, investing, or a similarly analytical generalist role. Able to move between high-level strategic questions and detailed execution without losing momentum. Comfortable making progress with incomplete information and changing priorities.
- Enterprise & Commercial Operations: Comfortable working with enterprise customers, regulated institutions, procurement processes, and cross-functional commercial workflows. Able to manage complex stakeholder maps, track open actions, and keep enterprise processes moving without needing heavy supervision. Good judgment around how to communicate with senior customers, partners, lawyers, procurement teams, and internal technical stakeholders. Able to contribute to tenders, RFPs, commercial proposals, and customer-facing materials with a high bar for clarity and quality.
- Analytics, Reporting & Operating Cadence: Strong analytical skills and comfort working with business metrics, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting packs. Able to define the right metrics, not just report the available ones. Comfortable turning incomplete or messy data into a useful operating view for leadership. Interested in how better data and information flows can inform company strategy.
- Communication & Materials: Excellent written communication and deck-building ability. Able to turn complex, half-formed discussions into crisp materials that customers, partners, and leadership can actually use. Confident enough to speak with senior stakeholders, ask good questions, and represent Cosine well externally. Clear, concise, and commercially minded.
- Product & Market Exploration: Interest in AI, enterprise software, regulated industries, and how new technical capabilities become commercial products. Able to research new markets, size opportunities, map competitive dynamics, and identify where Cosine has a right to win. Curious about sovereign AI, secure deployment, defence, financial services, government, and other high-trust environments.
You Might Thrive in This Role If You:
- Have 2 to 6 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, commercial operations, investment, or a high-growth startup.
- Are ex-MBB, ex-consulting, or have a similarly rigorous analytical and operating background.
- Are comfortable sitting in the room with senior enterprise stakeholders and then doing the follow-up work yourself afterwards.
- Enjoy wide-ranging roles where the remit changes quickly and the work cuts across customers, product, finance, legal, and leadership.
- Are highly organised and can create structure where none exists yet.
- Write clearly, think commercially, and can produce customer-ready materials without lots of back and forth.
- Have strong spreadsheet and reporting skills, and care about whether metrics actually drive decisions.
- Are curious about AI, sovereign technology, secure enterprise deployment, and how frontier models can be turned into real commercial products.
- Are a self-starter who can operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities and incomplete information.
