CPM is looking for a Sales Development Executive to join our new team representing Haleon within the grocery retail sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive sales and enhance the in-store presence of market-leading healthcare brands, including Sensodyne, Advil, and Centrum.

£28,000 + 10% bonus PA, car, tablet and mobile. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week. Ideal location: Newport, United Kingdom, NP10 Territory covering: Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Cardiff, Forest of Dean, Hereford, Newport, Gwent Valleys, Swansea, Swindon and surrounding areas. A driver’s licence that enables you to drive in the UK is essential.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Development Executive to join our team, representing Haleon across grocery and key retail channels. This field-based role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working independently while delivering measurable results. As a Sales Development Executive, you will play a vital role in driving product availability, visibility, and compliance in-store. You’ll bring brands to life through impactful merchandising, promotional activations, and strong retailer relationships, ensuring campaigns are executed to the highest standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Execute in-store activities including merchandising, POS implementation, promotional displays, and FSDU builds to maximise brand visibility and sales.
  • Complete scheduled store visits in line with client briefs, KPIs, and compliance standards.
  • Capture accurate data, insights, and photographic evidence using digital reporting tools.
  • Build strong relationships with store managers and colleagues to secure incremental opportunities and enhance brand presence.
  • Manage your own territory effectively, demonstrating strong organisation, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Adapt to changing campaign requirements and identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent the company and client with integrity, professionalism, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Adaptable, reliable, and results-driven.
  • Previous field merchandising, retail, or sales experience and/or experience working within grocery or FMCG environments would be advantageous but not essential.
