We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chartering Manager (m/f/d) to join our team at COSCO Shipping Bulk (UK) Limited.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage chartering operations for dry bulk vessels, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with ship owners, brokers, and clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Analyse market trends and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the dry bulk shipping market to identify opportunities for growth.
- Negotiate charter agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of charter agreements and effective cost management.
- Monitor vessel performance and financial metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the senior management team.
- Conduct risk assessments related to chartering activities and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices, advocating for continuous improvement within the chartering department.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in chartering dry bulk vessels, with a proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in relevant software and technology.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, market dynamics, and chartering agreements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
