The Corporation has invested in 56 terminals, including 49 container terminals, all over the world.
For COSCO SHIPPING Lines (UK), located in Londong Gateway we are looking for an experienced Account Manager (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities:
- Manage cost control and accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow.
- Streamline and enhance the monthly financial closing process for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between finance and operations, facilitating data sharing and providing actionable insights for business decisions.
- Oversee financial recordkeeping for the UK branch, ensuring accuracy in financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, identifying discrepancies as needed.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax documents in compliance with UK regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and monitor budgets, offering financial recommendations.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant financial regulations.
- Assist in annual audits, liaising with auditors as required.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring continuous process improvement.
- Provide financial guidance to management to support decision-making.
What you need:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the shipping or logistics industry or in Chinese enterprises.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations, including UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
