As a Menswear Styling Editor at COS, you will define and evolve the tone of voice and visual expression of menswear styling across all key touchpoints. You will play a central role in translating the collection into compelling styling narratives that resonate with our customer while supporting commercial goals.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for developing a distinct tone of voice in the styling of our MW offering, in line with the brand ID.
- Deliver strong and cohesive styling for digital channels, including marketing and social shoots, that inspires and resonates with our customer and drives selling.
- Deliver product edits for each quarterly shoot that showcases the right product at the right time, ensuring a balance of key drivers and fashion excitement is represented.
- Deliver seasonal styling direction per quarterly shoot for the collection to the business in line with the visual goals set by the collection team and Head of Styling.
- Participate and contribute to the quarterly workflow, ideating and strategizing how the collection will be delivered to the customer.
- Partner with the MW Head of Design/Design teams to envision and style the collection look for each quarter in line with quarterly workflow timelines, considering driving categories, campaign/shoot plan, and customer needs.
- Deliver and share styling direction with relevant teams including windows and ecom styling to ensure the red thread of the styling vision carries through across all touch points.
- Collaborate with the Content team to strategize shoot briefs for each quarter, ensuring key drivers, storytelling opportunities, and key fashion messages are highlighted.
- Align with merchandising and buying teams on quarterly shoot plans to ensure we are showcasing the best of the collection at the right time to drive selling and brand awareness.
- Collaborate with the Art Direction team to ensure the styling in shoots is shown in an elevated way that the customer can digest.
- Align with Art Direction and Production teams on the shoot calendar and post-production schedule following all shoots.
Qualifications:
- An established stylist with broad experience across campaigns, editorials, e-commerce and social; with experience of building brand storytelling and tone of voice within Mens styling.
- Understanding customer data and regional feedback to implement within the styling and shoot edits to meet customer demand where possible.
- Ability to align creative output with the business objectives, contributing solutions for how the business can continue to consistently put forward and evolve its styling expression.
- Maintain a strong understanding of fashion and trend, building a strong library of references, competitor analysis, and own styling.
- Ensure we present each part of the collection to the customer in the right kind of content, context, and time, and with the right styling.
- Meet shoot and production expectations and ensure every shoot experience delivers high brand standards and values.
- Package final shoot edit imagery into messaging/storytelling determined within shoot briefs.
- Demonstrate strong and effective time management amidst a busy workflow and shoot calendar.
- Align the COS aesthetic and brand ID to every touchpoint.
