We are looking for a Materials Logistics Coordinator to join the Customer Service team in Taunton. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods across the site, supporting both customer deliveries and manufacturing operations. You will take ownership of stock movement, storage and control, while working closely with multiple internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed and customer orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
Location: Taunton
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00
Contract: Full time, permanent role (40 hours per week)
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate site logistics to ensure materials and supplies are available to support manufacturing and wider operations
- Receive, check and accurately transact finished goods and incoming deliveries using the MRP system
- Prepare and dispatch customer orders in line with daily picking lists, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Liaise daily with departments including Customer Service, Production, Quality, Finance and Engineering to support operational needs
- Maintain stock control within Raw Materials Stores and Finished Goods Stores, including cycle counts and stock takes
- Ensure materials are supplied to production and deliver samples to Quality Control for inspection
- Maintain accurate system and physical records, ensuring all stock is correctly identified and located within the MRP system
- Support the implementation and use of bar or QR code systems and scanners for stock movement control
- Maintain high standards of organisation, 5S and Health and Safety across storage areas
- Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse and logistics processes
What You Will Need:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills with good attention to detail (Essential)
- Confident IT skills with the ability to work accurately within systems (Essential)
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills (Essential)
- Experience in a warehouse, stores or manufacturing environment (Desirable)
- Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems for inventory control (Desirable)
- Counterbalance forklift licence or willingness to be trained (Desirable)
- Understanding of Lean or continuous improvement tools such as 5S or Kanban (Desirable)
