A 4-year Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship based at Riverside Energy from Waste facilities in Belvedere, south‑east London. Riverside is undergoing a massive period of growth with Riverside 2 opening in 2026 alongside Riverside 1.
Responsibilities
- Support the Maintenance or Operations workstreams, including Electrical, Mechanical, Controls & Instrumentation, or Operations.
- Work on projects across the Riverside facilities and gain exposure to Carbon Capture and Heat Network initiatives.
Salary and Benefits
The apprenticeship pays £20,000 in the first year, increasing each year as you become more skilled and qualified. Your manager will hold regular review meetings with you to ensure you’re on track.
Training Delivery
Apprenticeships are delivered by IPS, a leading apprenticeship provider. You’ll attend 4‑week full‑time training blocks at college relevant to your location, returning to the site between blocks.
Qualifications
You must have (or expect to obtain) GCSE passes at grade 4 or higher in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- At least one Science subject
