Deputy General Manager- Marine Hotel Ballycastle £35k-£40k Are you an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? Our valued client, The Marine Hotel Ballycastle is looking for a Deputy General Manager to oversee all hotel operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader to drive operational excellence, maximise revenue, and foster a positive team culture. The Marine Hotel is a cherished establishment renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service. They take pride in offering guests a cosy, home-away-from-home experience with comfortable accommodations and delicious, locally sourced culinary delights, all while enjoying breathtaking sea views. What Youll Be Doing: Leadership & Management: Deputise in the absence of the General Manager and lead the team to achieve operational excellence. Operational Oversight: Manage all daily hotel operations within budget and to the highest standards. Guest Experience: Maintain outstanding levels of internal and external customer service, responding proactively to guest needs, complaints, and reviews. Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop an engaged and high-performing F&B team. Financial Responsibility: Forecast, plan, and manage F&B orders, staffing, and budgets to achieve financial targets. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all statutory and company H&S regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen, events, and reception teams to ensure seamless operations. Event Management: Oversee multiple events within the property, utilising trained personnel effectively. You will be required to work at least two late shifts to 11pm each week to allow for the work-life balance of other managers. Performance Monitoring: Set targets, KPIs, and policies in collaboration with the GM and Accounts team. Professional Development: Foster a culture of learning, using training programs and development plans to enhance team skills. What Youll Have: Strong leadership and delegation skills. Proven experience in food & beverage management. Proficiency in MS Office, Bizimply, Resdiary, and POS systems. Ability to resolve problems efficiently and proactively. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Experience in complaint handling, conflict resolution, and staff development. Passion for personal and professional growth.
