Take the next step in your technical leadership career. You’ve led technical teams, driven quality standards, and worked alongside retailers, but now it’s time for something more. Something that offers greater autonomy and the chance to truly shape the future of a thriving business.

As the Technical Manager, you’ll be in the driving seat for not one, but two sites, giving you double the challenge that you would normally have. Pairing this with fronting most UK retailers means you’ll have enough to get your teeth into.

The main site is still very much developing and is going from strength to strength, but with the addition of your knowledge and experience you’ll find opportunities to take it to the next level. You’ll be leading a small team of circa 12 people including a Quality Manager and Technical Services Manager. In addition to this, you’ll be influencing the wider senior leadership team in order to drive technical best practice.

Your scope to grow doesn’t just stop here though, as the business is part of a wider international group, it gives you several avenues to explore to further your career.

The business has been operational for nearly 40 years and is supplying the biggest names in retail with frozen products. With the wider group footprint, it gives access to exposure across the globe. Situated on the cusp of the Brecon Beacons, the location of the site could not be more idyllic. With this said, despite the lovely views, getting to site without a car could be a challenge.

What You’ll Need

Naturally, to be successful you will have come from a food manufacturing background and hold a relevant degree level qualification. Any experience within frying or dairy would be hugely advantageous but it isn’t a must have. You’ll need to know your way around the retailers and have experience fronting at least one of the major UK retailers; however, ideally, you’ll have been in a site which manages several. To pull all this together, you need to have managed teams within the technical function as either a Technical Manager or, if you’re ambitious enough, a big Quality Manager.
