We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Head Dental Nurse to join our brand new recently refurbished modern dental practice .
The successful candidate will lead the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care , clinical compliance (CQC/HTM01-05) and smooth daily operations.
They manage staff nurse rotas, stock levels, decontamination protocols, training, and support dentists chairside, acting as a key bridge between clinical staff and management.
Key Responsibilities include
- Team Leadership: Ideally 2 yrs experience minimum. Managing, mentoring, and monitoring the performance of the dental nursing team.
- Clinical Compliance & Governance: Ensuring adherence to CQC standards, infection control (HTM01-05), health and safety, and audits.
- Clinical Support: Assisting dentists and hygienists chairside while leading by example.
- Training & Development: Supporting nursing team
- Administration: Coordinating patient records, appointments, and lab work.
Requirements
- Qualification: Level 3 Dental Nursing Diploma and GDC registration.
- Experience: Substantial experience as a qualified dental nurse is required to build necessary clinical and leadership knowledge and guide trainee dental nurses.
- Skills: Strong organization, communication, leadership, and deep knowledge of decontamination and clinical procedures.
