Job Purpose To maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment throughout the school premises, ensuring that classrooms, offices, communal areas, toilets and other facilities are cleaned to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff areas and communal spaces.

Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms and other hygiene-sensitive areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust floors and surfaces as required.

Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.

Clean windows, doors, fixtures and fittings where required.

Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and correctly.

Report any maintenance issues, damage, hazards or spillages to the appropriate member of staff.

Follow the school's health and safety, safeguarding and cleaning procedures.

Store cleaning products and equipment safely after use.

Carry out deep-cleaning duties when required, including during school holidays.

Help maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Maintain confidentiality and behave professionally at all times.

Undertake any other reasonable cleaning duties as directed by the Site Manager or Cleaning Supervisor.
