The successful candidates will be required to work 37.5 hours per week (average), working across Monday β Sunday on a two week rota of waking night shifts (9:30PM β 8AM). Temporary cover is required for approximately 1 month, with the possibility of extension. In this position, you will be expected to; β Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients, following safeguarding and emergency procedures as needed β Provide personalised, flexible and creative support, involving clients in decision-making and encouraging participation in activities β Collaborate with external agencies to support clients, adhering to data protection and information sharing protocols β Support clients to access Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities aligned with their goals and aspirations β Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, including preparing accommodation for new clients and supporting their transition β Assist in coordinating and supporting volunteers and promoting client involvement initiatives and residents\β meetings β Maintain clear, accurate records β Manage the security of the building Please note; this role involves lone working. To apply for this role, you must have; β Experience working with young people or those affected by homelessness β Understanding of the needs of individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or the care system β Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding and health and safety procedures β Experience of managing challenging behaviour, including responding calmly to crisis β Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills and ability to take notes β Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively and reflect on practices for continuous development
