Job Description

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Cover is required on a 6 month fixed term contract. \\n\\nPlease note; this role involves working 3 days a week at services across London (initially Lambeth) and 2 days a week working from home.\\n\\nIn this position, you will be expected to;\\n- Complete targeted arrears work with Progression Coaches and Managers\\n- Ensure all clients within the project have a Housing Benefit claim in\\n- Collate documents and information as requested by Housing Benefit Teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency\\n- Chase all outstanding payments and escalate within local authorities where payments are outstanding\\n- Have oversight of rent setting, rent accounts, arrears and all types of voids across services\\n- Develop and deliver comprehensive and achievable actions plans for services that have individual cases or high levels of arrears and provide targeted support to promote achievement which minimizes loss\\n- Support services to maximise income from all sources and implement income collection systems which are flexible to the income source\\n- Develop targeted, innovative void management strategies for services with specifically high levels of maintenance related voids\\n- Liaise with landlords and property owners in relation to voids created and/or extended by their processes or inaction\\n- Ensure all legal documents (i.e tenancy/license agreements, occupancy, lease agreements) relating to housing management are centrally held and in place for all properties/clients and are kept up to date\\n- Provide a trusted source of advice and guidance for all staff in dealing with housing management issues or developments\\n- Support service based Housing Management Workers in providing high quality, proactive housing management services for clients\\n- Provide support to staff in the management of occupancy agreement breach cases including arrears, abandonment, ASB etc.

Ensure effective monitoring of actions taken to resolve all cases\\n\\nTo apply for this role, you must have;\\n- Experience delivering effective housing management in supported accommodation\\n- Understanding of what safe housing management looks like for our client\\n- Experience analysing complex performance information and implementing relevant action plans\\n- Working knowledge of housing legislation and how they affect our clients\\n- Significant experience of implementing & communicating clear standards and expectations and helping individuals and teams to develop to their full potential\\n- Ability to develop, manage and measure a performance culture, including change management\\n- Excellent communicator with a range of different stakeholders, including Service Managers, finance colleagues as well as external partners such as housing revenue and benefits departments, landlords and management agents\\n- A curious mindset with a desire to understand the issues and identify solutions\\n- Project management skills and high level of accuracy in your work
