About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced Female Support Workers to support a female service user in her own home in Fairford. This is a 2:1 support package, meaning you will always be working alongside another experienced member of staff.
The service user has complex needs including epilepsy, so candidates must be confident in managing seizures and responding appropriately in line with care plans and training.
Due to the remote location and limited public transport, drivers with access to their own vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support within the service user's home
- Support with daily living activities and promoting independence
- Monitor and respond appropriately to epilepsy and seizures
- Work collaboratively as part of a 2:1 support team
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
- Adhere to CQC standards, safeguarding procedures and company policies
Shift Information
- Block-booked shifts available
- 4-hour shifts per day, 6 days per week
- Confirmed shift: 10:00am - 2:00pm
- One evening shift also required (time to be confirmed)
Essential Requirements
- Female Support Worker
- Driver with access to a vehicle
- Epilepsy Awareness training
- Mandatory training (Care Certificate or equivalent)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Previous experience in 2:1 care packages
- Experience working in community or home-based settings
