Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Corus Consultancy is currently recruiting for an experienced and customer-focused Sales Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced sales and customer service team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, processing orders accurately, and working collaboratively with internal departments to ensure an excellent customer experience from order placement through to delivery and after-sales support.

The Role

As a Sales Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for handling enquiries across multiple communication channels, maintaining customer records, coordinating with internal teams, and delivering exceptional levels of service. This position would suit a proactive individual who thrives in a busy environment, has excellent organisational skills, and takes pride in providing outstanding customer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries via telephone, email, live chat, and social media.
  • Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems.
  • Handling order amendments, returns, credits, and customer complaints.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and order records.
  • Monitoring stock availability and communicating any shortages or delays.
  • Updating inventory and product information across sales channels.
  • Liaising with Warehouse, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Providing customers with product information and technical guidance where appropriate.
  • Supporting customer retention through excellent service and relationship management.
  • Assisting with account management and identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
  • Contributing to team targets, service levels, and overall business objectives.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Sales Administrator, Customer Service, Order Processing, or similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Must have their right to work in the UK.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using ERP or CRM systems.
  • Experience within an e-commerce, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Previous experience supporting both B2C and B2B customers.
