Cortez Visual Communications, Inc. is seeking an In-House Commercial / Property Litigation Solicitor to join our Manchester-based legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders across the business and to play a meaningful role in supporting the Group's continued success.
As an In-House Commercial / Property Litigation Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing commercial and property-related disputes, running your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy. You will instruct Counsel and external solicitors as required, ensuring matters are handled efficiently and in line with commercial objectives.
The role will involve:
- Advising property managers on a wide range of commercial and property disputes, providing practical and commercially focused legal guidance.
- Drafting comprehensive written advice for the Board, preparing correspondence and legal documentation, and undertaking detailed legal drafting across a range of contentious matters.
- Reviewing contractual terms and conditions, offering strategic advice where appropriate, and advising on contractual disputes and proposed amendments.
- Supervising and supporting more junior members of the legal team, contributing to their development and maintaining high standards of legal output.
As the ideal candidate, you will have approximately four years’ post-qualification experience in commercial, property or construction disputes. You will be confident running your own caseload with minimal supervision and comfortable managing competing priorities in a busy environment. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to deliver clear, concise and well-reasoned advice to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
You will demonstrate excellent time management, organisation and record-keeping skills, alongside a high level of attention to detail. A professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive information is essential, as is a pragmatic and commercially aware mindset.
