MCR Property Group is seeking a proactive and reliable Accommodation Assistant to support the daily operations of our newly renovated PBSA building in Sunderland. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team delivering exceptional accommodation and service to students in the region.
Working closely with the Site team, you will ensure the smooth running of the site, provide excellent customer service to residents, and contribute to a positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Site team with the day-to-day operations of the building
- Act as a main point of contact for students and visitors during working hours
- Carry out regular site inspections and ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Log and respond to maintenance requests, liaising with contractors where necessary
- Assist with student check-ins, check-outs, and room inspections
- Handle enquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and reports relating to health & safety, fire procedures, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with MCR Property Group standards and statutory regulations
- Support lettings activity, viewings, and open days as needed
- Experience in student accommodation, hospitality, or a customer-facing role
- Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using property management systems - Hubspot
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile
- Ability to remain calm and professional in dealing with issues or emergencies
- Knowledge of PBSA or residential lettings sector
- First Aid or Health & Safety certification
- Familiarity with compliance regulations in accommodation settings
