Cortex is a modular fan data orchestration layer designed specifically for the world’s leading sports rightsholders. We simplify complex stacks to unify siloed data from ticketing, retail, and digital channels into a single, actionable fan view. By removing the technical bottlenecks that usually block insights and activation, we empower everyone across an organisation to build rich audiences in minutes and push them to activation tools in real-time. From personalising the match-day experience to unlocking new revenue streams for rights holders and global sponsors, we help rights holders turn fragmented data into measurable enterprise value. We are a fast-growing, UK-based SaaS business working with some of the biggest names in global sport.

We are looking for a proactive, diligent and progressive Product Designer to join the team, working across products that directly improve supporter experience for some of the world’s leading sports rightsholders, drive engagement and revenue, and deliver frictionless user experience for our clients.

You must be self-motivated, confident and happy to work with internal cross-functional teams, as well as working directly with clients across user research projects and feedback, and advocate for the continuous roll out and improvement of the Cortex products through a user-centred design approach.

About the role:

Working as a Product Designer for Cortex, you will need to collaborate with stakeholders across various teams, from Product Managers to developers, ensuring user-centred design needs are well-represented and understood. You will be required to guide the overall design direction for your product's development, balancing long-term strategy with immediate project goals. Your focus will be on creating user-centric solutions through research, testing, and data-driven insights. Working closely with developers, you will need to ensure designs meet technical constraints and are implemented effectively. You will also manage and evolve design systems to maintain consistency across teams, confidently presenting and iterating on your work to drive innovative solutions.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You are someone who can help us design sport industry specific products that solve our B2B user's problems and help them achieve their goals.
  • Communicates effectively with a range of internal stakeholders within the business to advocate and ensure our user's design needs and business goals are understood.
  • Will guide the overall design direction for all relevant product developments, contributing to long-term product strategies while balancing immediate product developments.
  • Ensures our products are truly user-centric by conducting user research and testing when required.
  • Uses metrics and analytics to assess design performance and success, helping to continuously improve user experiences based on data-driven insights.

You have:

  • Proven experience of conducting research and UX design for SaaS platforms.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design process and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, able to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, developers, and other teams.
  • Strong understanding of user research and testing methodologies to ensure user-centric design.
  • Data-driven approach to assess and improve design performance using metrics and analytics.
  • Experience in managing and evolving design systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across products.
  • Creativity and a solution-oriented mindset to continuously iterate and innovate based on prior learnings.
  • A proficient use of Figma and other software tools to complete research and testing such as Maze, Hot Jar and others.

It's a bonus if you have:

  • A knowledge of football, rugby, cricket and other sports would be an asset to bring to the role as well.
  • Confidence in presenting design work and explaining design decisions to various teams.
  • Experience of being self-sufficient and working in a startup environment.
  • Experience of using AI tools to drive efficiency and improve end output.
