As the Sales Director for Rights Holders, you will be responsible for selling Cortex directly to rights holders and generating new revenue. You will be one of the faces of Cortex to the world’s leading sports leagues, federations, and elite clubs. This isn’t just a "software sales" role; it is also a sports revenue growth position. You will work directly with CMOs, Digital Directors, and Commercial Leads to position Cortex as the solution to building sustainable revenue from digital engagement, helping them navigate the complexities of their existing operating models to demonstrate the unique value and tangible revenue impact that Cortex brings.
You will be responsible for prospecting, and closing multi-year agreements with elite Rights Holders who need to modernise their digital, data and content operations and prove the value of their digital inventory to sponsors.
Key Responsibilities- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy specifically tailored to designated Tier 1 and Tier 2 Rights Holders (Leagues, National Governing Bodies, and Clubs).
- Solution Selling: Position Cortex as a mission-critical tool for engagement and revenue growth.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, moving them through complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Cortex in the market to open up new sales opportunities, build pipeline coverage and build brand authority.
- Sports Tech Experience: You have experience in SaaS/Enterprise sales, with a proven track record of selling technology solutions directly to elite sports rights holders.
- Sports Business Network: You possess a deep, existing network of decision-makers within global sports organisations.
- Growth Strategy in sport: You understand the intricacies of sports business—specifically how rights holders monetise their IP, the dynamics of media rights, and the pressure to deliver "always-on" fan engagement.
- Storytelling: You can take complex value propositions and use cases and translate it into a compelling narrative that resonates with commercial executives who care about the bottom line.
- Independent & Driven: You are comfortable opening doors yourself and taking full ownership of the sales cycle from lead-gen to closing.
- Proven history of exceeding annual recurring revenue (ARR) targets.
