This role will be with a leading UK contract electronics manufacturer with over 25 years’ experience in PCB assembly and product build services. With a strong track record supporting blue-chip clients across multiple market sectors, the company provides both full turnkey solutions (from PCB design through to product build) and supplementary manufacturing capability. Their reputation is built on delivering high-quality, reliable electronics manufacturing services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electronics PCB Test Engineer to join the Quality team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong diagnostic skills, technical expertise in PCB rework, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Daily Job:

  • Diagnose and fault-find to component level on electronic assemblies
  • Rework PCBs with through-hole and surface mount components using hot air rework tools and soldering irons
  • Program and test PCBs using diagnostic software and test equipment (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings and technical documentation
  • Support the Quality Manager in overseeing quality metrics and driving continuous improvement projects
  • Manage customer non-conformances, conduct internal audits, and contribute to wider quality initiatives
  • Proven ability in PCB rework and component-level fault finding
  • Box Build and final display experience
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with diagnostic/test software
  • Experience with industry-standard test equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems (advantageous)
  • Any RF experience is also desired
