My client is looking to hire an Embedded & Optronics Engineer. The ideal engineer will have Opto-Electronic skills with an Optical Engineering Degree and extensive software development skills.

In an ideal world, we would find an optical/optronics engineer that has been actively involved in the development of various imaging technologies (might include focus variation, interferometry, structured light, etc). The person would have a strong knowledge of optics and have worked hands-on with embedded systems, including firmware and application development.

Tech stack: C++, Python, MATLAB, Zemax experience OR be an Optical Engineer and have Zemax and MATLAB.

Key skills:

  • Programming Languages: C++, Python, BASH, JAVA – Ideally +2 years’ working experience in C++ and Python but will consider someone with less but highly capable.
  • Libraries & Tools: RTOS, ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, MATLAB/Simulink, Keil uVision, VSCode, Altium Designer, Proteus, STM32CubeIDE, Git version control, Docker.
  • Hardware Platforms: STM32, PIC Microcontrollers, Arduino, ESP32/ESP8266, Jetson Nano, Raspberry Pi.
  • Other: SQL Database, I2C, SPI.

Desired Skills:

  • Optical Engineering, Physics, or Electronics Degree
  • Image Processing Experience/Skills
  • Electronic Engineering Skills – high speed circuit design, PCB Layout
