We are seeking multi-skilled electrical technicians with experience in electrical wiring or battery build. This role offers hands-on involvement in innovative EV projects in the UK.
This is not a production line role; you must be able to prototype and be proactive with new ideas. Experience in motorsport or automotive is beneficial but not essential.
You will support the strip, build, and integration of mechanical and electrical systems for EV conversion projects. Depending on your experience, you may focus on wiring and harness build, mechanical assembly, or full vehicle integration, with clear progression into senior build, diagnostics, and specialist roles.
This is a workshop-based position suited to practical, detail-driven individuals who enjoy problem-solving and want to develop or apply skills in automotive electrification.
- Strip legacy drivetrains and install EV systems including HV batteries, motors, inverters, cooling, HVAC, and associated components.
- Prepare, crimp, solder, and terminate electrical connectors (training provided for junior levels).
- Follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and build instructions.
- Carry out continuity checks, basic diagnostics, and quality inspections.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on specifications, design, and continuous improvement.
- Perform additional workshop duties as required.
Skills & Experience (Entry-Level to Experienced)
- Practical interest in automotive, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Confident using hand tools and basic workshop equipment.
- Minimum 3 years’ niche vehicle build, assembly, or wiring experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Classic car repair or restoration experience.
- Automotive HVAC knowledge.
- Crimping, soldering, or harness assembly experience.
- Understanding of CANbus or automotive electrical systems.
- Metal fabrication or mechanical assembly skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Asana, Jira, or similar tools.
- Level 2/3 qualification in automotive, electrical, or engineering discipline.
- Previous workshop, garage, or hands-on technical experience.
