General Description:
- Chase suppliers for delivery dates.
- Request quotations for cable, connectors, and other components.
- Raise purchase orders.
- Update delivery schedules.
- Help manage shortages and stock levels.
- Support senior buyers with supplier negotiations and sourcing activities.
- Keep production supplied, suppliers accountable and stakeholders informed, playing a key part in keeping customer commitments on track.
- Interpret and communicate technical specifications from design engineers to suppliers.
- Ensure sub-contract suppliers are selected and developed to meet all material delivery milestones.
- Sourcing both nationally and internationally, negotiating with new and existing suppliers.
