Role: Mechanical design engineer
Location: Glasgow, North Lanarkshire
It's a factory based role, but we offer either a 4 day working week, or a 4 and a half day week which is a 12 pm Friday finish.
Benefits: employee owned company so any full time employee can own shares after 1 years service.
As a Mechanical design engineer you are responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components.
- Design and Development: Creating and refining designs for mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and other tools.
- Analysis and Testing: Conducting simulations, prototyping, and testing to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Working with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement designs.
- Project Management: Managing the workflow and progress of design projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of engineering principles, and experience with design analysis tools.
~ 5+ years’ experience in machine shop/manufacturing environment preferred, Time served preferred but not essential.
~ Technical/computer skills (Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
