We’re looking for an Information Manager to join our talented and motivated team in the Birmingham or Manchester Studio, stepping into a new role within our friendly and collaborative team. Are you passionate about driving high‑quality Information Management that genuinely supports great design? As Information Manager you will help to elevate our practice-wide IM capability and ensure our project teams have the confidence, tools, and support they need to deliver outstanding work. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role with a strong emphasis on technical credibility, collaboration, and enabling others. You’ll work closely with project teams, Digital Design colleagues, and IT to embed robust Information Management aligned with ISO 19650 in a pragmatic, proportionate way.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee IM delivery across projects, ensuring processes meet ISO 19650 requirements and are planned, evidenced, and escalated appropriately to support programme, cost, quality, and client confidence.
  • Lead model audits, clash detection, and coordination workflows (particularly in Revit), ensuring QA is embedded within project processes.
  • Upskill and enable project teams to carry out coordination and QA activities independently through coaching, training, and establishing consistent, repeatable IM practices.
  • Contribute IM expertise to bids, tenders, and fee proposals; define scopes and advise on risk, effort, and client requirements to position IM as value‑adding, not just compliance‑focused.
  • Work with Digital Design leads, IT, and wider teams to align IM with design workflows, improve processes, maintain guidance, and support audit-ready information governance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an Information Management, BIM, or related role within a UK architectural practice.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting clash detection, coordination, and model audits on live projects.
  • Practical, delivery-focused mindset with good professional judgement.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working with designers, project leads, and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, or client assurance activities.
  • Exposure to regulated or higher-assurance project environments.
  • Experience mentoring, training, or enabling others in IM or BIM-related activities.
  • Familiarity with multiple BIM / coordination platforms.
  • Interest in developing Information Management as a practice capability.
