About the role
We are looking for a Senior Architect to join our talented and motivated team in the Birmingham Studio, stepping into an established role within our friendly and collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of building projects from concept through to completion.
- Produce detailed architectural drawings by hand and using specialist BIM and CAD software.
- Manage and guide project teams to deliver architectural services to agreed deadlines.
- Work within planning, environmental and budgetary constraints to shape viable project solutions.
- Liaise with construction professionals to deliver complex and challenging schemes.
- Lead coordination with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, QSs and technologists.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
- Oversee the submission of planning applications and liaise with Building Control and other statutory bodies.
- Prepare and present reports, design proposals and key stage submissions.
- Develop project briefs in collaboration with clients.
- Adapt plans in response to changing circumstances and resolve design challenges.
- Manage project workflow, resources and team delivery.
- Undertake site visits, attend client and consultant meetings and represent the practice professionally.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and ensure ongoing professional development.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven experience delivering projects using CAD and BIM.
- Ability to plan resources and monitor project profitability.
