About the Role

The Group Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations across our showroom entities. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, reconciling accounts and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The successful candidate will also provide vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day finance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Expenses
    • Manage accounts payable for all showroom entities, including invoice entry, coding, and supplier reconciliations.
    • Process staff expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Prepare and process payroll payments for showroom staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to resolve invoice or payment queries promptly.
  • Bank & Financial Reporting
    • Perform bank reconciliations for showroom entities on a regular basis.
    • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Assist with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments as part of month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Maintain and update financial records and ledgers accurately and efficiently.
  • Administrative & Team Support
    • Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including answering emails, filing documents, and maintaining records.
    • Assist with correspondence and communication between internal teams, clients, and external partners.
    • Support audit preparation and respond to ad hoc financial queries as required.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes across the group.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 1–2 years of experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working towards AAT qualification desirable.
