Corsico Grand Prix is a motorsports manufacturing business that is developing an unlimited off-road race car called a \”Trophy Truck\”. This is a very cool project!
Our prototype vehicle is 75% complete, and we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer & Project Lead who can help push the prototype to completion, while also helping us transition into product manufacturing.
You will be given significant responsibility and day-to-day freedom. This job is best for somebody who thrives in an unstructured environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engineering design, using SolidWorks and NX
- Fabrication / assembly of our prototype, both by doing fabrication yourself and also by leading others

Working with outside suppliers and other vendors
- Quality control
- Design, assembly and validation of proprietary tools to be used in manufacturing
- Development and documentation of procedures
The ideal candidate would have at least 10 yearsβ experience in motorsports, automotive, heavy equipment or aerospace mechanical engineering and project management. Key skills include:
- Proven ability to manage projects, people and third-party suppliers
- Self motivated, with a desire to push tasks to completion
- Significant familiarity with 3D CAD systems, particularly SolidWorks and/or NX
- Desire to work on a wide range of different projects, requiring the application of multiple disciplines
- Significant familiarity with automotive or aerospace engineering and manufacturing
Pay: US$75.00 – US$125.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 β 50 per week, Mon-Fri (no weekends)
Hybrid setup. Computer work can be completed remotely, but at least 50% of your hours must be on-site.
Relocation assistance is available.
Candidates will be hired as independent contractors, rather than employees. No benefits. No PTO.
