Your role
This is a diverse role where you will gain exposure to prescription screening and act as responsible pharmacist as part of a rota in our dispensary. You will work with other Pharmacists, Accuracy Checking Technicians and Dispensary Assistants.
The key responsibilities
- Responsible Pharmacist on Rota for the registered premises.
- Accuracy and clinical checking of prescriptions for wide specialist areas of interest including oncology, immunotherapy, rare disease states.
- Coordinating and planning the dispensary activity and supporting the wider team.
- Procurement and management of supplies of compounded and specialist medications with support.
- Supporting the patient services team in giving advice to patients, triaging clinical decisions and following clinical pathways with further support from a wider team of pharmacist and nurse specialists.
- Key stakeholder in allowing patients access to novel treatments via clinical trials, Early access schemes, Post trial access schemes etc.
- Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years’ service)
- Annual company bonus scheme (subject to scheme eligibility)
- Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will contribute 8%.

Qualifications
Experience of working within a pharmacy as a registered pharmacist or pre-registration pharmacist.
