Teacher of Music in Corsham

The Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and inspirational teacher of Music, looking to join an experienced team. The team is led by a curriculum team leader. The successful candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who models excellent practice, has students' progress at the forefront of their teaching, will deliver high quality learning experiences for all students and have a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.

Music Department Highlights

We offer Music at GCSE and A level with strong take-up at A level. We enjoy a close relationship with Real World Studios, the Pound Arts Centre and WOMAD with learners opening WOMAD festival as part of an ensemble. We enjoy a successful partnership with the Drama department and as a result put on an annual whole-school show featuring full orchestration and choir. Students celebrate our students' musical enjoyment and development in school celebration assemblies. Music enjoys a high profile in the school, with students playing in assemblies to their peers and busking around the school on open evenings. The department has undergone something of a renaissance in recent years and we are looking forward to a new team member helping to continue this transformation.

The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
